Air Distribution
AEGON Center has an HVAC system with constant volume fan power terminal (FPT) units serving specified tenant zones. Each floor has a central air handling unit (AHU) located within the core area and supplied with outside air to assure a high level of air quality.

Heating
The HVAC units utilize heat generated from lighting fixtures and building interior loads to recirculate warmer air, and when required, utilizes an integral heating coil to generate additional heating in each of the perimeter zones.

Fire Protection System - Type of System
AEGON Center's life safety systems include sprinklers, smoke detectors, strobes and speakers on each floor, pressurized stairwells, an on-site life safety command center, a smoke exhaust system and a direct communication link to the fire department via a monitoring service.

Security - Type of System
AEGON Center's security consists of both on-site staffing and an access control system. The building's courtesy desk is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In response to recent events supplemental staff have been added. Staff members are now located in the south lobby between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., the loading dock between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., and the lower level entrance between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Security - After Hours Access
The use of a proximity card is required to gain access to the lower level, and the south and west lobby entrances. Proximity card readers are intended to allow authorized personnel twenty-four hour access into the building and the adjacent parking garage. Use of photo ID's to gain access into the building will also be implemented.
