All AEGON Center passenger elevators have a canopy height of 10'-7 3/4", and an interior width and depth of 6'-8" x 4'-3". The capacity of the elevators are 3500 lbs. Electrical System Emergency Power Standby power provided by a diesel generator in the garage, and provides the building with enough power to operate life safety systems. Fire Protection System - Type of System AEGON Center's life safety systems include sprinklers, smoke detectors, strobes and speakers on each floor, pressurized stairwells, an on-site life safety command center, a smoke exhaust system and a direct communication link to the fire department via a monitoring service. Security - Type of System AEGON Center's security consists of both on-site staffing and an access control system. The building's courtesy desk is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additional staff are located in the south lobby between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., the loading dock between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., and the lower level entrance between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Security - After Hours Access The use of a proximity card is required to gain access to the lower level, and the south and west lobby entrances. Proximity card readers are intended to allow authorized personnel twenty-four hour access into the building and the adjacent parking garage.
