The Huntington Building was completed in 1924 and has undergone extensive renovation to provide a competetive working environment and maintain its prestigious character. Located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, this 22 story building offers 1.3-million-square-feet of office space including the world's largest banking hall. Hines was hired in 1988 by the building owner as asset manager to oversee building renovations and property management responsibilities. Substantial renovation projects completed in the early 1990's included: upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems; 4,200 new windows; elevator modernization; state-of-the-art life safety systems; asbestos removal and architectural and aesthetic improvements to common areas. Hines continues to oversee the asset, property and leasing management responsibilities for this landmark building.
