ENERGY CONSERVATION
To maximize energy conservation, U.S. Bank Plaza has been designed with heavily insulated exterior walls incorporating less vision glass for low heat loss and gain. Outside air is used to cool the complex and steam is used for heat from a district generating plant located outside U.S. Bank Plaza.
For the past three years U.S. Bank Plaza has been awarded the Energy Star for excellence in conserving energy.
SAFETY FEATURES
Tenant safety in the development has been carefully considered. It was the first office complex in Minneapolis to have a full fire protection sprinkler system. Many additional life safety devices are also incorporated in the building's design, such as ventilation fans and stairwell pressurization.
